A College Of Engineering Will Soon Be Established At The Benue State University (Bsu). This Was Disclosed At The Government House Makurdi By Governor Samuel Ortom.
Governor Samuel Ortom approve engineering college for BSU, this was disclosed at the Government House Makurdi when he received a report of the State Steering Committee on the Establishment of the Centre for Infectious and Tropical Diseases, College of Health Sciences, Benue State University.
Orthom said that a committee would be constituted to fast-track the establishment of the College of Engineering at the institution.
Ortom stressed that Benue as the food basket of the nation should also be the hub of education, describing the engineering college as key to technology development.
He directed Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Emmanuel Ikwulono to present a memo to the State Executive Council on findings and recommendations of the report for immediate action.
He praised the committee for the timely completion of the report despite the COVID-19global pandemic.
During the presentation, Ikwulono had said the centre would be of immense value to the health sector of the state when established.
